Jesus’ command to wash one another’s feet points to the humility Christians should have in loving others. But in particular it points to the chief way we exercise that loving humility, that is the way we deal with each other’s sin within the Church. The Church is a community of grace and it displays God’s glory and power most clearly when its members exercise grace towards one another in dealing with sin.
